Cut in the Crisco until the mixture is coarse and grainy. Useing a fork, stir in the buttermilk - DO NOT OVERMIX! Put on a floured board and knead just a couple of times (too much kneading and the bisc uits will be rock hard). Pat out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a glass (flour the glass). Do not handle the dough too much or it will get tough. Use a cast iron frying pan. Place the Crisco in the frying pan and place the pan in a 500§ oven for about 7 minutes. Remove the pan and place the biscuts in the pan. Turn the biscuts once to coat both sides (careful - the pan is HOT). Bake for about 10 minutes or until light brown.
