How come you have all of the nightmare experiences - camping, cooking, etc? Here's a recipe to try. I started with a basic recipe about 13 years ago, and have been experimenting with different ingredients. About a year ago someone asked for the recipe, and I had to make it again, just to measure the ingredients. I rarely measure ingredients anymore, just a dash of this a dash of that. Share some of your southern recipes with us, I'd love to try them. MY SPAGHETTI SAUCE Ingredients 1 pound Hamburger 1/2 pound Sausage 1/2 cup Water 1/4 Red Pepper, diced 1 1/2 small diced Onions 1/2 diced Green Peppers 2 15 ounce cans Tomato Puree 1 15 ounce can Tomato Sauce 1 6 ounce can Tomato Paste 1 8 ounce can Tomato Sauce 4 Tablespoons Sugar 3 Tablespoon Oregano 1 Tablespoon Sweet Basil 1 teaspoon Salt 1/2 teaspoon Pepper 1/4 teaspoon Dry Mustard 1/4 teaspoon Chili Powder 6-8 cloves diced Garlic 1 ounce Mushrooms, diced 1/4 cup Taco Sauce, Smooth & mild 1/2 package Bacon, cooked & crumbled Directions Brown hamburger, onions and green peppers in large pot. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer covered for 3-5 hours for best flavor. Best if cooked in Crock Pot on low all day. Enjoy!
