                       CREAMED RICE PUDDING

2 pints milk
5 oz. sugar
pinch of salt
3 oz rice
1 tsp. vanilla

Put the milk, sugar and salt in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Gradually add the rice, then simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes
to 1 hour, or until most of the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
Stir in the vanilla.

Serves 6
