Yesterday I made mashed potatoes for company..instead of adding the butter to

the potatoes, I sauteed diced onions in it until the onions were brown and

aromatic. Then I poured the melted butter/fried onions onto the mashed

potatoes, mixed it in well, put it in  a glass casserole dish, sprinkled some

reserved onions on top and put it in the oven for 15 minutes at 300. It was

delicious.
