Brush the tbsp softened butter over bottom and sides of a 1 1/2 qt baking dish. Combine flour, salt, and pepper, and set aside. In a deep bowl, beat the eggs 'til frothy. Stir in corn. Stirring constantly, sift in flour mixture. Add melted butter and stir well for 2-3 minutes. Pour mixture into baking dish and place it in a large shallow pan in the middle of the oven. Then pour in enough boiling water into the pan to ride at least 1" up the sides of the baking dish. Bake for two hours, or until top is brown and an insterted knife comes out clean. Replenish boiling water in pan if it gets low. Serve directly from baking dish. Feeds around 6. My grandma makes this all the time, and it is FANTASTIC. Nowhere near low-cal, though. :)
