Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add flour which has been sifted with backing powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add lemon extract. Pour into a well greased pan (11 x 6 x 2 inches). Press the plum halves into batter. Sprinkle mixture of « cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over top. Bake in hot oven (400øF) 30 minutes.
