NEAR ROYAL OAK? I THINK? SIR BAYNAM THROCKMORTAN'S MEATHE 4 QUARTS OF HONEY,GOOD MEASURE, PUT TO  4 GALLONS WATER, LET STAND ALL NIGHT  BUT STIR IT WELL WHEN PUT TOGETHER.  THE NEXT DAY BOIL IT AND PUT TO IT  NUTMEG, CLOVES, MACE, AND GINGER 1/2  OUNCE EACH. LET THOSE BOIL WITH THE  HONEYWATER TILL IT BEAR AN EGGE THE  BREADTH OF A SIXPENCE.(SCUM IT) THE  NEXT DAY PUT IT IN YOUR VESSEL, AND  THERE 2 OR 3 SPOONFULS OF  BARM(YEAST).WHEN IT HATH DONE WORKING  YOU MAY PUT IT INTO SMALLER  CONTAINERS. THIS SHOULD KEPT A WHOLE  YEAR BEFORE IT BE DRUNK. IT WILL BE  BETTER THE LONGER IT SITS. YOU MAY  DRINK IT WHEN IT IS A QUATER OLD. KEEP  IN A COOL PLACE.
