I checked with the gal I work with and she suggested this:

First boil in a kettle with
garlic
chopped onion
chopped green pepper
paprika
chili powder
red pepper
after they have boiled to where you can stick a fork through them
easily then place in a baking pan with barbecue sauce and bake at
350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

You can use the water in the kettle to cook some rice if you wish.
