   A cake mix makes cookie-making easy.  Here's one recipe and a few extra
suggestions.
   * Add coconut and chopped pecans to German chocolate cake mix.
   * Add raisins and quick cooking oatmeal to spice cake mix.
   * Add chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips to yellow cake mix.


                              Cake Mix Cookie

1 (18.24 ounce) package cake mix, any flavor
1 large egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 cup (Any combination) chopped nuts, raisins, oatmeal, coconut, chocolate
   chips

   Heat oven to 350 degrees.  In large bowl, combine cake miox, egg, oil and
water.  Beat with electric mixer at medium speed until well blended.  Stir in
whatever other ingredients desired.
   Drop a scant tablespoon about 1-inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake
10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are set.  remove cookies to rack and cool
completely.
   Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
