So here are some recipes from it. I decided to mainly do the sweets. cookies Apees 3/4 lb. butter 3 1/2 cup flour 1 lb. sugar 1/2 tsp cream of tartar *3 eggs beaten separately 1 cup sour cream cream the butter and sugar add the egg yolks and blend. Stir flour with cream of tartar into the bowl, little by little. Mix together. Add sour cream and fold in the egg whites. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Next day roll out on floured board,shape with scalloped circular cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 10 min. watching to prevent burning. *beat whites separate from yolks. Bunny's cookies 1 1/2 cups shortening 1 tsp cinnamon 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp soda 3 eggs 1/4 tsp salt 5 cups flour 1 cup chopped nuts Cream butter and sugar, stir in eggs. Sift in flour cinnamon, soda and salt and beat well. Dredge nuts in a little flour and fold in. Shape into 4 rolls wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight. Next day slice rather thin and bake at 325 degrees about 20 min. makes 160 cookies. Oatmeal Cookies 1 cup melted butter 3 cups oatmeal (uncooked) 3 cups Dark brown sugar Pinch of salt 1 egg 1 TBLsp. vanilla Melt butter, mix with sugar add egg and beat.
