Add both sugars. Beat egg slightly and add to sugar mixture. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamy mixture; add more flour if dough is not quite stiff enough. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Press gently with sugared fork; this step is important to the flavor of the cookies, as they cook more quickly and get a better consistency. Cookover medium heat stirring constantly, til choc. is melted and sugar is dissolved. Cook stirring occasionally to 234 degrees (until it forms a soft ball in a cold cup of water). Remove from heat, add vanilla & margarine. Beat vigorous 5 to 10 min. with spoon until candy is thick & no longer glossy spread in buttered shallow dish. ----- ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07 Title: Fudge Brownies Categories: Candies, Desserts Servings: 24 3/4 c Cocoa 1/2 ts Baking soda 2/3 c Veg. oil 1/2 c Boiling water 1/4 ts Salt 2 c Sugar 2 c Eggs 1 1/3 c All purpose flour 1 ts Vanilla Stir cocoa & baking soda in mixing bowl blend in 1/3 cup Veg. oil, add water, stir until mixture thickens, stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla & salt, blend completely. Pour into lightly greased 13x9 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 min. cool. ----- ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07 Title: Creamy Brownie Frosting Categories: Candies, Desserts Servings: 2 6 tb Butter, softened 6 tb Cocoa 2 tb Light corn syrup or honey 1 ts Vanilla extract 2 c Confectioners sugar 2 tb Milk (add more if needed) In a small bowl cream butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla. Add Confectioners sugar and milk. Beat to spreading consistancy. Makes 2 cups of frosting.
