I made some Thanksgiving and sent them to the Fire Station with my son. All I got back was an empty dish! So hear it is. 1 package (18oz.) yellow cake mix 1/2 cup melted butter or marg. 4 eggs 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1-1/2 cups dark corn syrup 1 teasp. vanilla extract 1 cup chopped pecans 1. preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. set aside 3/4 cup cake mix. In a large mixing bowl combine remaining cake mix,butter/marg., and one egg. Mix with fork until crumbly. Press crumbs into the bottom of a greased 13x9x2" pan. Bake 15-20min. or until light golden brown. 3. In a large bowl, combine reserved cake mix, 3 eggs,brown sugar,corn syrup,and vanilla;beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 min. 4. Pour over partially baked crust and sprinkle with pecans. Bake for 30-35 min. Let cool and cut into bars. Cindy
