Bring water and salt to boil, add grits and simmer until done. Add butter and cheese, stirring until melted. Beat eggs in a 1 cup measure, add milk to equal 1 cup. Blend into grits mixture, pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until light brown on top. Serve with bacon, ham or sausage for breakfast.
