=========================================================================== BBS: The GWE BBS [ASV/CIN] Date: 01-14-94 (12:27) Number: 370 From: KOUNTRY COOK #1 @1912232* Refer#: NONE To: ALL Recvd: NO Subj: Chicken a l'Orange Conf: (37) Home Cooki --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chicken a l'Orange 1 T. margarine 1 T. freshly grated orange rind 1 T. honey 1 T. white wine 1 t. soy sauce 1 t. ground ginger 1/2 t. salt dash freshly ground pepper 2 1/2 to 3 lb. frying chicken, cut in serving pieces Juice of 1 orange Combine all ingredients except chicken and orange juice and coat chicken pieces. Allow to marinate 30 minutes in refrigerator. Remove chicken from marinade and place in a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 400 degrees. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and continue baking until browned, about 20 minutes. Turn and baste to brown on both sides. Five minutes before removing from oven, pour orange juice over chicken. Serve with steamed rice.
