Coffee Chocolate Chip Bars
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 Tsp. instant coffee crystals
1/2 Tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 Tsp. baking soda
1/2 Tsp. salt
1 6-oz pkg. semisweet choc. morsels
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

In mixing bowl, beat together brown sugar and butter;  beat in egg,
coffee crystals and vanilla.  Stir together flour, soda and salt; stir into
butter mixture.  Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts.  spread in greased
9 x 9 x 2" pan.  Bake at 375 for about 20 min.  Cool.  Sprinkle with
powdered sugar, if desired.  Cut into squares.
