Mix well into dry ingredients. Fold in raisins, currants and caraway seeds. Add beaten egg and buttermilk. Mix with large spoon until ingredients are well-moistened. Pour into 1 1/2 qt. baking dish (sprayed with non-stick cooking oil). Brush withmelted butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Reduce to 325 degrees for 30 minutes longer. Note: This bread is good for breakfast toast.
