      Title: Texas Hash
 Categories: Meats
   Servings:  4

      1 ea Onion, chopped                    1/2 c  Uncooked rice
      1 ea Green pepper, chopped fine          1 ts Chili powder
      2 tb Shortening                          1 ts Salt
      1 lb Ground beef                       1/4 ts Pepper
      2 c  Canned tomatoes

  Cook onion and pepper in shortening.  Add ground beef.  Brown until the
  mixture falls apart.  stir in the tomatoes and uncooked rice.  Season with
  chili powder, salt and pepper.  Put in covered casserole and bake at 375
  degrees for 45 minutes.
