=========================================================================== BBS: The GWE BBS [ASV/CIN] Date: 01-05-94 (22:05) Number: 332 From: KOUNTRY COOK #1 @1912232* Refer#: NONE To: ALL Recvd: NO Subj: Yummy Dippers Conf: (37) Home Cooki --------------------------------------------------------------------------- YUMMY DIPPERS 3 T. butter 1 med. onion, chopped 1 c. chopped ham 1 c. chopped corned beef 1 clove minced garlic 2 c. sauerkraut, drain & chop 1/2 c. beef broth 6 T. all purpose flour 1 egg, lightly beaten 1/2 t. salt 1 T. worcestershire sauce 1 T. snipped parsley 2 eggs, beaten 2 c. bread crumbs Oil for deep frying Mustard Sour cream Toothpicks Makes 4 dozen appetizers. Heat butter in a 10 inch skillet and saute' onion. Add ham, corned beef and garlic and cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the next 7 ingredients. Cook until thick, about 3 minutes. Cool. Cover and chill for several hours. Shape cold mixture into 1 inch balls. Dip balls in egg, then roll in crumbs. Fry a few at a time in deep oil at 375 degrees until lightly browned, about 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm with toothpicks or small forks for dipping in mustard or sour cream.
