Announcing v4.02 of Time & Chaos Professional

Highlights of What's New in 4.02 ...

	Selective resizing of main screen sections (appts,todo's,etc.)

		Usage of a new screen control provides the vehicle
		for resizing each section of the main screen.  Your
		sizing and screen position can be saved for use in
		each startup of Time & Chaos.

	Logical subdivision of phone books on main screen.

		There is a new button on the main screen under the
		phone book list box that will pop up the categories
		selection list.  By clicking the desired categories
		and selecting [OK] you can subdivide the present
		phone book based on the categories chosen.  The list
		box background will change to blue and the list box
		will contain only those entries selected.

		Clicking again on this new button will return the 
		phone book list box to its previous full view.

	Custom Report Generation.

		The Report Menu item on the main screen's menu bar
		now provides for the definition, storing and printing
		of custom reports.  Go to the Report area and click 
		on the Format Menu item, Click on the Custom option .... 
		and knock yourself out.

	Group Scheduling of Appointments.

		In the TIMEBAR area of Time & Chaos you can super-
		impose several/many calendar sets to get a composite
		view of the schedules for several/many people.  Once
		an acceptable group appointment time is chosen you
		will now be able to place this appointment on everyone's
		calendar across the network.

	ToDo List Performance.

		We have utilized some new techniques to significantly
		increase the performance of the ToDo.  The first time you
		start this new version it will automatically optimize your
		todo list to the new format.

	* Ability to MOVE or COPY todo's and appointments by dragging to the month calendar
	* Ability to set the appointment start time & end time with keyboard cursor keys
	* Ability to completely disable appointment alarms
	* The Month View! can be changed to Week View! as a default
	
	...........plus lots of minor little improvements and fixes!
	


	Special WinFaxPro 3.0 format added to the EXPORT Utility.

		One of the programs on our optional ($15.95) utitlities 
		disc is EXPORT.  This program exports Time & Chaos data to
		standard dBase formatted files.  A new format option has
		been added to EXPORT so that it creates dBase files
		compatable with WinFaxPro 3.0.  This allows T&C users to
		output their white/yellow pages in a format acceptable
		to WinFaxPro 3.0.  These files can be added to WinFaxPro's
		list of phonebooks.

		Thus Time and Chaos could be the single source of your
		contact phone numbers.
		



To INSTALL Version 4.02:

Run the INSTALL.EXE utility included with this diskette.
   From the Windows Program Manager or File Manager, use the 
   File Menu to get to the Run Command.
			
By default, a new subdirectory will be suggested called C:\chaos40 
and all of the appropriate files will be copied there.  You can
change this to a subdirectory of your choice.  

The install utility will also create a new Program Manager Group 
and ICONS for you.  

After Installation you can run the program, by just double clicking on the
Time & Chaos ICON, as you would with any windows program.


UPGRADING INFORMATION:

A. If you are upgrading from a 4.x version of Time & Chaos it is
   important that you understand the following points:

You should use the INSTALL utility since there are many files 
that must be added to your existing Time & Chaos files.

Instruct the install utility to put the new files in the DOS
subdirectory where your current version of Time & Chaos is installed.


B. If you are upgrading from a 3.x version of Time & Chaos it is
   important that you understand the following points:

	Time & Chaos should be installed to a different subdirectory
	than before.  

	As such, your datafiles will need to be COPIED to the new
	subdirectory.  You can do this by copying your old datafiles
	to the new subdirectory.

	You must copy:

	Appt.isd
	Appt.isf
	Appt.ism
	Appt.isp (only if you have one)

	ToDoList.isd
	ToDoList.isf
	ToDoList.ism

	PhoneBk.isd
	PhoneBk.isf
	PhoneBk.ism

	YPhoneBk.isd
	YPhoneBk.isf
	YPhoneBk.ism

	OR....	A simple DOS command:  COPY C:\CHAOS\*.IS* C:\CHAOS40
		will take care of this for you.

	OR ...  Copy {drive}:\{path}\*.IS* {drive}:\{path} for the
		general case.


SPECIAL NOTE FOR Version 3.x Upgrade Users:

The first time that you start the new version. It will ask you if it is OK to
convert your datafiles to the new format.  Once, you convert these files they
may NOT be used with a previous version of Time & Chaos, so DO NOT DELETE your
old datafiles until you are sure that you love the new version.
