Game Play --------- Game play starts in the starport. The port is the hub of all the major events inside the Mek Arena. Each of the main menu options are explain at length below. Starting players would be best off going to the arena and participating in Amatuer Night until they get some cash and some reputation. The Arena --------- The Arena is the center of combat activity in the Mek Arena. Here, pilots will risk life and limb in the pursuit of bigger profits. From the Arena menu, the player can enter into one of several contests. Players can only fight in the arena so many times a day. A bouncer will keep out any over-eager and over-active pilots. * Amateur Night This is where most pilots will begin their careers. Amateur Night allows any pilot to enter combat in an arena-owned mek against another arena-owned mek. This event gives the players a great opportunity to become familiar with mek combat without risking their own funds. * Light Class Battle Requires a pilot to be second level, but allows players to fight it out in bigger machines for bigger prizes. * Medium Class Battle Even more firepower! Pilots must be fith level to enter these contests. * Heavy Class Battle Battle it out with the big boys! Pilots must be seventh level to enter these massive meks of the line, but the reward is significant. * Player Challenge If you're feeling really brave, you can test your mek’s mettle against another player. You can win big prizes, but are risking a great deal of damage to your own mek if you lose. * Free For All You risk a lot with this one! Your mek is thrown into an arena with three random meka. The winner is the last one alive! A great reward for winners. Nicks Used Meks --------------- Crazy Nick's is where players can buy and sell their meks. There are 250 total meks which are available to players, and players can have as many meks as they want until that point is reached. Selling meks returns eighty percent of their total value. Garage ------ The garage is where pilots go to get their meks taken care of. Inside the garage, the player may go to one of several different 'specialty' shops. * Armor Repair Mek armor and hull is repaired and replaced here. Armor costs 250 per point, and hull costs 500 per point. Neither armor nor hull can be sold back to the shop. * Chop Shop In here, players can freely buy any generally available equipment for their meks. Players can also sell off their mek components for eight percent of their worth. * Mek Selection Here, mek pilots choose which one of their owned meks they will use in the Arena or in Merc Missions. Bank ---- The starport has several ways of handling your finances. You can use a simple interest account (5% per day), or gamble in the much more lucrative stocks. Players can also transfer some of their funds to another player.
