"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~" Help for Installing Zyrion v4.0x on a TriBBS "~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~"~" 1: Unarchive the latest "FREE" Zyrion release into Node #1 main directory 2: Execute the GENKEY.EXE file to register! type: GENKEY B [enter] 3: Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, to include these "SET" parameters: SET ZSE=C:\TRIBBS (or wherever you unarchived Zyrion) SET ZYRION=C:\TRIBBS (" ^ same as above ^ ") SET ZRLOG=C:\TRIBBS\DSZ.LOG (to have Zyrion update TriBBS' callers.log) 4: Now re-boot the computer, then CD\ back to the DIR where Zyrion is located 5: Now to make the .PRN file, type: ZR-SETUP /PORTx (X= com1 thru com8) 6: Enter your name EXACTLY as you did to generate the registration KEY! 7: Answer the questions that follow (self explanatory?) ;] 8: Now....here is the "Receive" batchfile to use for TriBBS: rem ZYRR.BAT ZYRION RD -P%1 -C38400 (note: -C is locked Baud rate; can also use %2) 9: Now.....here is the "Send" batchfile to use for TriBBS: rem ZYRS.BAT @ECHO OFF DEL %3 ATTRIB +H ZYRS.BAT ZYRION SD -P%1 -C38400 *.* (again, you can use -C%2 here as well) ATTRIB -H ZYRS.BAT *NOTE* Now I know this batch looks weird, but this IS the only way to get Zyrion to cooperate with TriBBS! The @EBATCH.DAT is NOT recognized so we must use the "*.*" to send everything in the \TRANSFER dir., hence the attribute change to "Hidden" for the batchfile itself! 10: Here is what the entry looks like for your EXTPROT.MNU file: R,Zyrion 4.0,ZYRS.BAT,ZYRR.BAT,Y,N ============================================================================== Well....that about it! On a good Zyrion transfer, you can expect to see 1800+ CPS' throughput! Zyrion also acts like a Zmodem protocol, in that it uses the same "Auto-Download-Start" feature. Plus....it has a nice ANSI transfer screens to boot! Enjoy! Jim Mullen Brazen's HELL! 301-776-8259 1:109/574 jfm@aol.com
