VITRON's POPIT INVOICE AND BILLING SYSTEM RELEASE 2.20 NOTES & FEATURES FOR USERS OF VERSION 2.10 OF THE SYSTEM --------------------------------------- This release of the PopIt Invoice and Billing System contains new file structures for the VMC.DBF Control File and for the CUSTOMER.DBF and CUSTOMER.DBT Customer Files. If you are using version 2.10 of the system, you MUST run the CNVRT2 program BEFORE you begin using the system again! CNVRT2.EXE MUST be located in the directory into which you installed version 2.10 of the system. This CNVRT2 program will transfer all of your current data from the old file structures of the files named above used in release 2.10 of the system to the new file structures of these files used by version 2.20 of the system. YOU MUST USE THE NEW FILE STRUCTURES, OTHERWISE THE NEW PROGRAM WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY! To run CNVRT2, at your DOS prompt first change to the \VMCINVR directory (or to whatever directory you installed the system into). Then, at your DOS prompt, type: CNVRT2 and press . Follow the prompts that will be displayed on your screen. The conversion process will rename the current VMC.DBF file to OLDVMC.DBF, and will rename the current CUSTOMER.DBF and CUSTOMER.DBT files to OLDCUST.DBF and OLDCUST.DBT before it proceeds to convert the data. After conversion, you can delete these files. In addition, version 2.20 contains some new UTILity files, which will NOT have any impact on your data, but must be used by version 2.20 of the system.
