DESCRIPTION:

Sweetalk is a program for the online romantic in you. It has the following features:

* send a sound (or a WAV) to "say" "sweet" stuff to your online friend or sweetheart (male or female equally implied).

* send "cute" phrases ("sweet nothings") to him/her without typing them.

* save that special E-mail or post from him/her to a file with the click of a button.

* when you go online, clicking a button tells you if your friends [or sweetheart(s)] are online and where.
 
* For those times when someone is sending you not-so-sweet IM's, there is a "switch" that automatically turns Instant Messages off and on. 

* Meters that display how long you have been "sweetalking" in the "pay" areas and "free" areas of AOL. 

* a time log that keeps a running total of the "pay" time you have spent online in your current billing cycle.
  
Sweetalk is a program that makes sending sound (WAVs) in  America Online chat rooms real easy. A click on the Sound Menu button opens a pulldown menu of sound files and a click on any sound file sends it to the chat room. Sweetalk sound menus are simple to set up. Sweetalk also automatically types your favorite phrases (or "sweet nothings") online just by clicking a button. Sweetalk comes with 20 "canned" phrases or you can easily setup your own phrases using an elegant mini Notepad-type text window . Sweetalk also has a "snapshot" or camera feature that lets you save any  WAOL window--whether E-Mail, or a post in one of WAOL's folders, or even in the chat rooms--just by clicking on one button--to a file that you can read/print later. Sweetalk has a feature called "Whose On First" that finds and reports if your friends are online and in which areas/rooms of AOL. Sweetalk also has a "switch" to automatically turn IM's (Instant Messages) off (and on) for those times when someone is sending you not-so-sweet IM's. Sweetalk also displays a red meter for the time you have spent in the "pay" areas of AOL and a green meter for the time you have spent in the "free" areas of AOL. Sweetalk also keeps a TIME LOG of the time you were online in each session and the TOTAL "pay" time for all your online sessions in your current billing "month" or cycle.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. You need to have VBRUN300.DLL, a Visual Basic for Windows runtime module in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory in order to install and run SWEETALK. VBRUN300.DLL is used by many shareware programs and if you don't have it in the above sub-directory, you can download it from America Online (Press the disk-and-magnifying glass button in WAOL and type in VBRUN in the text box - then download VBRUN300.ZIP and put VBRUN300.DLL in the above subdirectory.)

2. You will also need Windows Write (it is included with Windows).

3. There are some known incompatibilities between Sweetalk and After Dark screensavers. You cannot run After Dark if you wish to use Sweetalk. Do not run After Dark or close it if it is running. Merely switching After Dark off is not adequate.

INSTALLATION

If you are reading this file you (or America Online's automatic unzipping) have already unzipped SWTALK12.ZIP.

Do steps 1 and 2 to install SWEETALK. These steps are required ONCE ONLY.

1. In  Windows File Manager, display the SWTALK12 directory  files in the right hand window of File Manager. (The SWTALK12  directory  will most probably be under the C:\WAOL\DOWNLOAD subdirectory).

2. Now double-click on the SETUPSWT.EXE file. The Setup program runs and asks if you wish to install to the default C:\SWEETALK directory. Click on the CONTINUE button or type in a name for the directory in which you wish to install the SWEETALK files and then click the CONTINUE button.(It is recommended that you accept the default C:\SWEETALK directory). The program files are installed in the directory you selected and a new Program Manager group called Sweetalk is created with two icons in it. One for the SWEETALK program and the other for SWEETALK Instructions. Double-click on the SWEETALK Instructions icon to run it and read detailed instructions on how to use SWEETALK.
