moo_net2.zip includes the following files related to the game Master of Orion:

1. moo.txt: a 175 page text file consisting of cuts and pastings from UseNet discussion 
   in comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategy. Crudely edited, I tried to interlink all of the
   threads. Apologies to Net contributors whose names were edited out for brevity.

2. mooindex.doc: Word 2.0 file that generally indexes moo.txt (essential!)

3. moochart.doc: Microsoft Word 2.0 format (the text conversion just didn't cut it
   because of the tables misaligning). This shows estimated damage for hits against
   shields, weapon comparison allowing for space at different tech levels, and ground
   combat. Shamelessly regurgitated from Net postings.

4. mootech1.doc: Word 2.0 again. Nicely formatted charts that show definitions from the
   tech screen for each technology advance. Sorted by the six categories.

5. mooshie1.xls: Excel 4.0 spreadsheet. Shows planetary shield level at which weapons
   are no longer effective.

6. mooshie2.xls: Excel 4.0 spreadsheet. Shows ship shield level at which weapons are
   no longer effective.
