Overview ======== This program changes the OS/2 default system icons after a shutdown. This program was written to test out a copy of VX-REXX I obtained a while back. This program was based upon custom pointer concepts from Jack Tan's SetPtr.CMD program from Stupid OS/2 Tricks #4. Requirements ============ OS/2 v2.x Usage ===== Installing a custom pointer --------------------------- 1. Select a pointer type you wish to install 2. Click on the install button 3. Select the pointer file you wish to install 4. Click on open 5. Exit the program 6. Shutdown Removing a custom pointer ------------------------- 1. Select a pointer type you wish to remove 2. Click on the remove button 3. Exit the program 4. Shutdown Exitting the program -------------------- 1. Double click on the title bar icon Warnings -------- 1. Click on the warnings check box to enable or diable them Future enhancements =================== I plan on adding these enhancements when I have the resources - Better installation program. (Probably my next VX-REXX project) - Include some sample pointers with the distribution. (If you have any, send them to me UUENCODED or send them to ftp.cdrom.com) - Use notebooks (when I get VX-REXX 2.00) - Use IPF style help (when I get the OS/2 Toolkit) - Combine all the text files into one .INF file (when I get the OS/2 Toolkit) - Make into a WPS object (when I get VX-REXX 2.00) Registration ============ This program is free. However, please share me your comments on the program through e-mail or send a postcard to: Archimedes Trajano 38-20 Brimwood Blvd. Scarborough, ON M1V 1B7 Upgrades ======== The latest copy of this program can be found in: ftp-os2.cdrom.com:/pub/os2/2_x/sysutil/sppm????.zip rexx.uwaterloo.ca:/pub/os2/vxrexx/contrib/sppm????.zip *** One last side note If anyone is looking for a OS/2 programming project, I could send you the design specs for a better setptr/PM. Something which I cannot do because I do not know how to program in C/C++ (not having CSet++ does not help either) :)
