OVERVIEW

Executive Decision Maker (EDM) replaces those toys sold by different companies
that help you make decisions and places it on your Windows Desktop.  After you
have a question, start up EDM and press the "Ask" button using the mouse or
by pressing <ALT><A>.  The program shuffles through the choices a random
number of times and the one that is selected last is the answer.  EDM flashes
the last choice and says the answer too.

The program has no HELP file, but you can use the mouse to point at different
areas on the program's window and the status line at the bottom of the screen
will give you a line of help.

Of course this program has no "magical" powers and the answers to your
questions are random, so use it at your own risk, and have FUN!

INSTALLATION

The program DECMAKER.EXE and the associated .WAV files should all be in the
same directory.  You can run DECMAKER.EXE from the File Manager or you can
install it in one of your Program Manager Program Groups.

This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to run (this isn't supplied and can
usually be obtained as a seperate download from your BBS).  THREED.VBX is
required and a version is supplied.  Before copying it to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
directory, make sure you don't already have the file by using the DIR command.
If you already have THREED.VBX check the date on your's and the one supplied.
If the date on your file is later delete the file supplied, if not copy the
file supplied to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

Optionally, to keep things simple, you can leave THREED.VBX in the same
directory as DECMAKER.EXE and it's .WAV files.

This program does use sound.  It doesn't require a sound board as long as
you have a speaker driver installed.  Of course it works much better with
a sound board.  If you don't want sound, see the miscellaneous section below.

MISCELLANEOUS

You can replace the .WAV files with any of your own .WAV files.  Just make
sure you name them the same as those supplied with the program.  If you
don't want the program to talk, you can remove or rename the .WAV files.
