IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Fractal Design Corporation Painter 2.0 and PainterX2 
demonstration comes on a single floppy disk.  The demonstration 
must be installed as described below in order for the 
demonstration to operate.


-INSTALLING THE FILE-

1)  Insert the demo disk (containing the file  LOADSHOW.EXE)
2)  From the Windows Program Manager, go to the FILE menu
    and choose RUN
3)  Type the name of the disk drive followed by  loadshow.exe
    (probably entered as  a:\loadshow.exe  or  b:\loadshow.exe)
4)  Click OK to install the program
5)  Follow all screen prompts


-RUNNING THE DEMONSTRATION-

This demonstration requires Windows to run.  Follow these steps 
to create a program icon for the Painter Demo.

1)  From the Windows Program Manager, go to the FILE menu
    and choose New.
2)  Click the "Program Group" button, click OK.
3)  Type the words "Painter Demo" in the Description Text Field, 
    then click OK.
4)  Go to the File Menu and choose New, click the Program Item button 
    and click OK.
5)  Click the Browse button in the Program Item Properties dialog. 
    Find the fractal.exe file in the Windows directory and
    double click it.
6)  Then click OK in the Program Item Properties dialog. A Fractal program 
    now exist in the Painter Demo group.
7)  Double click the "Fractal" program icon to run the Painter demo.
