      BACKGROUND
      
      If you have a '286 computer, you will notice General Protection
      Faults, "hangs", or other odd behavior when accessing the Windows
      Control Panel.  This is due to the execution of the WINSWAP.CPL
      file, which requires a '386 system or better to run. Disable the
      execution of this file to prevent the errors.
      
      SOLUTION
      
      Open the file C:\WINDOWS\CONTROL.INI in any text editor such as
      NOTEPAD. Look for the line STACAPPLETS=C:\STACKER\WINSWAP.CPL.
      Remove this line. Save the file and then shutdown and restart
      Windows.
