File Garbage Can For Windows 3.1 07/07/93 REASON Ordinary DOS and Windows file deletes are NOT secure. The file is merely marked as deleted but the data in the file is still sitting on the disk. Any undelete program or disk scan program can access the data on the disk. It remains that way until another file happens to overwrite the disk area. Garbage Can will take care of the security problem that occurs with an ordinary file delete. We GUARANTEE the deleted file can NOT be recovered. STAND-ALONE VERSION (GARBAGE1.EXE) It allows you to 'Drag And Drop' files from the Windows File Manager program on to the GARBAGE1 minimized icon. Any file dragged on to the icon will then be processed according to the way you have the program options set. FILE MANAGER EXTENSION VERSION (GARBAGEF.DLL) This version attachs itself to the Windows File Manager program. The program appears as an icon that you can drag files on. The menu will be attached to the File Manager menu. The program will automatically start when you start the File Manager. You need to edit the File Manager initialization file (winfile.ini) to use this version. See the Garbage Can help file for additional details.
