Features and Options on the Orchid Explorer Version 2.50 Save/Load Orchids - Create your own Orchid parameters. Saves all of the details to recreate the Orchid as framed. Shrink/Grow - Expand and contract the X or Y Axis to position the Orchid in the window. X/Y/XY Pivots - Pivot the Orchid through various Planes. X and Y Pivot the Orchid through one of the function increments. XY Pivots the Orchid through both at the same time. Lower/Upper Limits - Move and change the size of the limits window. This allows you to grow more complex Orchids or reduce them to simpler shapes. Depth - Changes the time frame for the Orchids growth. Mirroring - Draws part of the Orchid and reflects the rest about either the X or Y axis. Colour Control - Two, Four, Twelve colours or Shades. Details of the intrinsic mapping process can be seen with Shades that can't be seen with colours. Zoom In/Out - Coarse/fine zoom controls Details - Increases the drawing resolution of the Orchid Throw Functions - Changes the mutation paths for the Orchid. The rule base alters to one of eight paths for growth functions. There are a possible 256^256 combinations, but we don't think they'll all produce Orchids. Boundarys - Changes the growth space for the Orchid. Limited to quadrilaterals at the moment. Rotate/Flip - Rotate and Flip the Orchids through the growth Space. XY Locking - Locks the Objective pivot for the Orchids growth function. Selecting a new origin produces very different Orchids. Movies - Play the catalogue of your Orchids as a continuous movie show complete with colour cycling as an automatic feature. View Parameters - View the Parameter file for the current Orchid. Full Screen - View the current Orchid as a full screen display. Three Dimensions - Flattens and projects the Orchid up through the Z axis.
