Mapedit is a WYSIWYG imagemap editor for use with World Wide Web servers. (The server can be located on any machine; it need not be on your Windows system.) MAPEDIT IS NOT FREE SOFTWARE. Educational and nonprofit users can use the package for free, but must send me a postcard; others must pay $25 after 30 days. See the "About" option on the File menu for details. Mapedit requires Windows 3.1 and a 386 or better processor. (A 286 may work, but I have not tested this.) See the online help for detailed documentation, covering all aspects of the program's use. To get started, copy mapedit.exe and mapedit.hlp to your Windows directory and launch mapedit.exe from the file manager. You will probably want to add a program item for mapedit to one of your groups.
