This is a small program that determines the base address, DMA and IRQ channels for a standard floppy or dedicated QIC tape controller. This is a test program only. I've been able to test this program with 3 dedicated cards plus a standard floppy controller on 3 machines, but a much wider range of testing is required. This program employs new methodology for determining the DMA channel, and this method's effects are not yet known in systems with sound cards, etc. as well as on a wide range of motherboards and floppy controllers. Please remember this program is in test and I can't yet guarantee that it'll work. That's why it's here, to fix the bugs. Please, please, please, email the results of this test (on CompuServe) to: CHRIS MALCHESKI 71232,360 All you need to tell me is that A) it worked, or B) the NO CARD REASON displayed on the screen if it failed. The reason will be a number code. If you know what kind of controller you have and its settings, that would help as well. These are the codes for the controller types: 1 = Colorado Memory Systems FC10 2 = Colorado Memory Systems FC20 (currently displays as code 1, FC10) 3 = Colorado Memory Systems TC15 4 = Iomega IHA-10p 5 = Conner 20001/Maynard 1Mb floppy controller 6 = Mountain Mach2/Summit Express 23 = Standard floppy controller That's all there is. Thank you!!
