NATIONWIDE CALL-IN TO SENATORS DOLE AND GRAMM, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14

Just hours after the Republicans were given an historic mandate
to follow their Contract with America, Sen. Dole announced he
plans to work with Pres. Clinton and USTR Mickey Kantor hoping to
pass the GATT vote by Dec. 1, 1994. Sen. Dole aspires to be
President and will need UWSA support. Sen. Phil Gramm who also
has Presidential ambitions is concerned about the WTO, but seems
less inclined to side up to Clinton. We cannot let this Lame Duck 
travesty occur. REMIND DOLE OF HIS WORDS IN THE WITCHITA EAGLE:

"We should not race to complete a major trade bill until we know
what awaits us at the finish line. There is no reason we cannot
address this important issue next year." --Sen. Robert Dole,

- Don't VIOLATE your contract with America by waiving your budget
  rule and RAISING the NATIONAL DEBT by $31 billion.
- Americans are angry! We will NEVER forget the TRAVESTY if
  this forced 4 hour vote is taken by DEFEATED Members of the
  103rd Congress who DO NOT HAVE A MANDATE for a LAME-DUCK SESSION.
- We DEMAND that the new 104th Representative Congress clean-up
  CLINTON'S GATT implementing legislation and take out the PORK
  in CLINTON'S GATT Bill.
  [Personally I think this misses the point, there should be NO GATT!]
- If you seek our votes in 1996, stand WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE 
  NOW.

Make a special effort to call talk radio in the next 7 days.
There are many people who think they just elected a new Congress.
They'll be furious to learn that the old Duck 103rd Congress is
still alive and that the legislators that they thought were voted
out plan a trip to Washington to get even. Any way you slice it,
this Lame Duck is a Trojan Turkey and the public who voted for
responsible government should know it!
