Thanks for trying WinStart! WinStart is a utility that will allow you to decide whether you want to go to DOS or to Windows when you start your computer. To read and/or print WinStart's documentation, run the file RUNME by typing RUNME at the DOS prompt and pressing [ENTER]. To automatically install WinStart, run the file INSTALL by typing INSTALL at the DOS prompt and pressing [ENTER]. If you want to manually install WinStart, you will need to do the following: 1. Copy WINSTART.EXE to the directory of your choice. ORDERFRM.TXT, README.TXT, WINSTART.TXT and RUNME.TXT are not required but recommended to be kept in the same location as WINSTART.EXE. FILE_ID.DIZ can be erased; it is only used by BBS's. 2. Edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Replace the command that starts Windows with the word WINSTART. Be sure to include the full path where WinStart is located to prevent any problems. 3. Restart your computer. 4. When WinStart begins the countdown, press [CTRL]-[O]. Set WinStart's options to your preferences. Be sure that Windows Path contains the correct location of Windows. 5. Save your options to disk and continue. 6. Thats it!
