WebWatch 0.9 Beta Webwatch is an Internet application. In order to run it you need an Internet connection (TCP/IP stack and PPP or equivalent.) As WebWatch is intended to run as a complementary product to Web browsers, we assume that you have this properly installed. In this case you don't need any additional steps to customize your connection for Webwatch or to set up Webwatch to recognize your existing connection. WebWatch is a 32-bit Windows application. To run it you need either a 32 bit version of Windows (like Windows NT) or Win32s running on top of a 16 bit Windows (like WfW 3.11) If you are running NCSA Mosaic for Windows (on any platform) or the 32 bit version of Netscape (on Windows NT), you are properly set up. If you are running the 16 bit version of Netscape (on WfW 3.11), you may need to set up Win32s (chances are that you have it already.) NCSA Mosaic's Web site contains detailed instruction about how to do this. (http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SDG/Sofware/WinMosaic/HomePage.html.) To install WebWatch, unzip the distribution file into a directory. Copy the sample webwatch.ini file into your windows directory. Using Program Manager add webwatch.exe to a program group or run webwatch.exe directly from the 'Run...' menu or double clicking on it within the File Manager. At the first run you'll probably customize the parameter setting to reflect your directory structure, etc. This you'll have to do only once. The new settings will be saved in the webwatch.ini file. Thank you for evaluating WebWatch, an Internet utility from Specter Inc.
