-= What's New With LordNet =- [Since version 1.00Gamma] * CHNGDSYS.EXE and CHNGINFO.EXE People were having problems running two LordNet games on a single BBS because the names were identical, and were getting picked up by LordNet's dupe checking. So, I created these two EXEs, for use with the DOOR.SYS drop file and the DORINFO1.DEF file (not DORINFOx.DEF, tho). Simply put the EXE in the directory/location of the drop file, and run the EXE with an added parameter: CHNGDSYS # where # is the number LORD game it is... For instance, if you ran 3 LORD games hooked together, and ran the DORINFO1.DEF file for all of them, then here is what I'd do: :GAME 1 Change nothing: :GAME 2 Before changing directories to the LORD dir, cd\ to the directory that the drop file is in, and run CHNGINFO 1: :GAME 3 Before changing directories to the LORD dir, cd\ to the directory that the drop file is in, and run CHNGINFO 2: This arrangement should work fine. * New Bulletins The bulletins are now controlled externally. Edit the BULLETIN.CFG file (instructions inside), and run LORDNET BULL to generate bulletins. LORDNET NO LONGER GENERATES INTERNALLY! * Other New Stuff... If you have any questions, contact Billy Watford (Butcher) at 1:3613/20, Scott Freeman at 50:50/0, or Larry Jeans at 1:132/275. Remember, these people are _not_ my technical support service and are _not_ obligated to help you, or answer your questions. However, they are all nice enough to help you, if you ask nicely :). Probably the ideal way to get support is to join FidoNet, and get the LORD echo. This has every one of these people, and is moderated by Scott Freeman.
