The game seemed ideally suited for a BBS door game and soon the idea for Medieval War Door was born. The door version took only 10 months to complete and was developed using C-KIT DOOR building Toolkit library, version 2.58. It was tested on Burnham Park Software, Inc.'s support BBS, Shark's Den (312) 922-2839 running PCBoard 15.1 with US-Robotics Courier Dual Dual Standard modems. VERSION HISTORY =============== Version 1.0 - The first version was completed in February 1995 and included support for 50 simultaneous games, 8 different types of pieces, from 2 to 6 players, up to 15 starting pieces, a map of up to 100 x 100, a wrap-around map option, and a command city option. Version 1.1 - This version was completed in April 1995. It added combat statistics and fixed bugs with specialty pieces, entering turn, victory points and others. CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND REGISTRATION ================================= Medieval War Door is shareware and, as such, is distributed freely. If you use this software for more than thirty days it must be registered. Registration is only $22 and entitles the user to a printed manual, the latest version of the program, unlimited upgrades at cost (disk+label+ mailing charges), and customer support. If an unregistered version of this program is being used on a BBS, consider adopting it.
