Types of programs in the database include nutrient analysis, clinical nutrition, food service management, recipe management, food industry, drug-nutrient interactions, nutrition education, and menu planning. The programs can be obtained from the companies listed. Inclusion of a program in this list does not indicate endorsement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), nor does the USDA ensure the accuracy of all information in the computer packages. The complete contents of the database, in ASCII (DOS) format, are available on NAL's electronic bulletin board, and FNIC's Internet gopher.
