Due to the awesome success of the Wadpack Series 1, We've released a second version of the Wadpack Series of levels, for Doom ][: Hell On Earth. To avoid confusion with another add-on called: "Wadpak", we renamed our addon to: Deathmatch Frag Wads. Unfortunatly, there aren't any cooperative levels in Deathmatch Frag Wads. This happened because most (80%) Doom players play Deathmatch only, not cooperative. --------------------------------- As per id Software's request, we haven't edited any of their "original" levels, (That should keep Jay Wilbur and the id lawyers happy) and we're not charging people to use this addon. We used the -nomonsters and -timer 15 (fifteen minute game) parameters. This demo is from the BROWN marine's (my) perspective. It's the most interesting perspective since I get 53 Frags . Unfortunately, the BLACK (INDIGO) marine made a typo in recording his demo so we don't get a final tally screen at the end. :( MARINE EXPERIENCE GREEN Experienced DOOM 1 keyboard only player. BLACK Total DOOM beginner (all the other DOOM players left for the day). BROWN Expert DOOM/DOOM2 mouse/keyboard player. Recap: Level 1 is *WILD* with 3 or 4 players! All of the weapons are here, not a lot of health, and just one green armor. There is no strategy to play this level. Just kill or be killed! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Second Deathmatch Demo This is a 3 player DOOM2 deathmatch 2.0 recording of level 7, "Dead Simple". We used the -nomonsters and -timer 20 (twenty minute game) parameters. This demo is from the BROWN marine's (my) perspective. It's the most interesting perspective since I get 57 Frags . Unfortunately, the BLACK (INDIGO) marine made a typo in recording his demo so we don't get a final tally screen at the end. :( MARINE EXPERIENCE GREEN Experienced DOOM 1 keyboard only player. I played earlier in the day with 3 experienced DOOMers and got over 70 frags in about 30 minutes! My strategy was to control the outside perimeter and then go hunting (not hard on this level) for marines! I use the rocket launcher, plasma rifle, and BFG alot. For those that want to know how (or not how) to use the BFG in a deathmatch fight, watch this demo. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Third and Last Deathmatch Demo This DOOM2 demo is a 4 player deathmatch recording of Level 11, "O' of Destruction!" This match was played with the Deathmatch 2.0 rules ( -altdeath), timed 20 minutes ( -timer 20), and no monsters ( -nomonsters). This is a recording from the RED Marine's (my) perspective. I'm an experienced mouser/keyboard player. I play against 3 keyboard players. You'll notice how much more mobile I am compared to them. This turned out to be a close match between BLACK and RED. RED wins by a score of 13 to 11. MARINE EXPERIENCE GREEN Experienced DOOM 1 keyboard player. Very cautious, doesn't handle the rocket launcher well in tight spots. Frags: 0 Fragged: 12. BLACK Very Experienced DOOM 1 & 2 keyboard player. Frags: 11 Fragged: 7 BROWN Total DOOM beginner. Frags: -4 Fragged: 17 RED I've successfully completed my DHT v3 DOOM MASTER exam. 'nuff said.
