      INTRODUCTION
      ============

      This program is useful for playing WAV files with your favorite
      file manager if this file managers is not able to play WAV files
      by himself. The WAV files will be associated with this little
      program and each time you double-click on a WAV file or select
      the file and press <Enter> PlayWAV will play this file. The only
      limitation is that the WAV file must fit into the physical memory
      for playing. The control is returned immediately back to the file
      manager, so you can continue your work while listening to the WAV
      file. Playing another WAV file with PlayWAV while a WAV file is
      being played will discard the playing file and the new file is
      being played.


      INSTALLATION/USAGE
      ==================

      1. Place the file PLAYWAV.EXE in your Windows directory, a
         directory in your path or in any other directory. No other
         files are needed for this program, except for the WAV files,
         you want to play!

      2. Associate the WAV extension with PLAYWAV.EXE.  One way to do
         this is with the Windows File Manager: In the "File" menu,
         select the "Associate" command and enter PLAYWAV.EXE. If
         PLAYWAV.EXE is not in your Path or in your Windows directory,
         you have to enter the full path of PLAYWAV.EXE.

         I think most windows file managers have an option to do this
         step. If not, add the following line to the file WIN.INI in
         the section [Extensions]:

              WAV=<Path>\PLAYWAV.EXE ^.WAV

         where <path> is the directory you put PLAYWAV.EXE into.

      That's all. Now you can start any WAV file like an executable.
      With the mouse, double-click  on the file name; with the keyboard,
      select the file name and press the <Enter> key.
      If an error occurs while playing the WAV file PlayWAV displays a
      Messagebox with the name of the file.
