A set of default wheel files comes with Super Wheel, but you can customize the game to use your own wave files. To do this, select Options on the menu bar, then click on Sound. The wave files are listed on the right side of the screen. Scroll down and click on the "[..]" symbol. This means to move up one directory level. Then you can click on directory names until you reach your private stash of wave files. If you want, you can delete the Super Wheel default set of wave files. This will free up about 0.5 megabytes on your hard disk. DISTRIBUTION RESTRICTIONS You are free to distribute the shareware version of Super Wheel to others, provided that you distribute all the files, including this one, and that the files are unmodified. FONT REQUIREMENTS Super Wheel uses the following standard Windows fonts: Courier New - for the letter board MS Sans Serif - for the scoreboard and dialog boxes Arial - for the Geography Puzzle Pak map displays If any of the fonts appear to be displayed incorrectly when you run Super Wheel, try verifying that the three fonts listed are loaded on your system. To do this, run the Control Panel program located in the Main program group. Double click on the Fonts icon. Windows will display a list of the fonts loaded on your system. NEW FEATURES IN SUPER WHEEL VERSION 2.0 1. Computer-controlled opponents. Now play against human or computer opponents. The computer opponents make odd philosophical comments while thinking. 2. Extra money rounds. Wheel with higher money values and more bankrupts in the later rounds. 3. More puzzle files in the registered version. Includes special interest puzzle files like Sports, Computer Phrases and Geography. The Geography Puzzle Pak shows you a map after you solve the puzzle. 4. More sound events so you can customize the game to make it really cool. 5. More cartoon icon guys. 6. Display driver problem fixed. In version 1.0, certain display drivers such as the Windows 1024 x 768 Large Font driver would cause the scoreboard to obscure the graphics. 7. Snazzier graphics here and there. 8. Computer names. Click on a button when you are starting a new game, and the computer will randomly choose player names for you. DISABLING THE MAP DISPLAY When you solve a geography puzzle, a map is displayed. A couple very old display drivers were found to crash during display of the larger map bitmaps. This is a rare problem, but if it happens to you, you can disable the map display by adding the following line in the [SuperWheel] section of the SWW.INI file located in your C:\WINDOWS directory: [SuperWheel] SkipMapDisplay=1 You can use the MS-DOS Editor or the Windows Notepad program to modify the SWW.INI file. DISCLAIMER Super Wheel is provided "as-is", with no warranties, either expressed or implied. You assume the entire risk for using the software. THANKS FOR TRYING SUPER WHEEL!
