Intro............
This program unzips a file, scans it for viruses, lets you edit the 
file_id.diz or create one, redates the file_id.Diz so you don't get
a false zip file date, and repacks the file with maximum compression
giving you the true file date.

Disclaimer.......
This program is AS IS. Use at your own risk as I do not accept any 
liablitiy for any damages caused by Diz Edit.

Licence...........
This program is freeware and you can do what your like with it, however
you must not change or remove any of the orginal files. Feel free to upload
it to a BBS near you.

Requirements........
1. The following files MUST be in your Dos path.


   PKZ204G.EXE     (Pkzip and pkunzip)
   SCN-?????       (Mcafee's Virus Scan)

2. The Ansi drive MUST be installed. If not add DEVICE=C:\DOS\ANSI.SYS
   to your Config.sys and reboot.

3. Environment space can be a problem. To increase change the /E parameter
   on the command.com in your Autoexec.bat to 1024 (Command.com /e:1024) 
   Read Dos help to find out how/more.

4. The Dized directory must be in your Dos path (See below)

Installation............

Exstract all files in to a directory C:\DIZED (IT MUST BE CALLED THAT!) 


EDIT AUTOEXEC.BAT
Next you need to have C:\DIZED added to your dos path. To do that load
your Autoexec.bat and edit the following line :-

SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\DOS;D:\SF;C:\TOYMENU;D:\UTILITY

You line might be a bit different. Now add C:\DIZED (; in front)

SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\DOS;D:\SF;C:\TOYMENU;D:\UTILITY;C:\DIZED

Now reboot for the changes to take effect.

Done!

The AD.BAT...........
This is a bat file that checks the contents of the zip file for these files
which are BBS adverts and deletes them. You can add any new ads you come
accross (If you are on SFNET post me a message and let me know of any others)

Format

IF EXISTS BBS.AD DEL BBS.AD

Add any in the middle of the file so you do not change the first and last
commands of the bat file.

Zip Comments...........
You do not have to add one if you do not wish too.
PLEASE NOTE - Read the file date section
To add a zip comment to the file put a file such as the below example in
the dized directory and call it COMMENT.TXT

BBS ADs...........
PLEASE NOTE - Read the file date section
Opional - You do do need to make and use one.
To add a bbs ad to the file place a file in your dized dir. It must have
BBS as the first 3 letters of the file eg. BBSLOOK.TXT   (BBS*.*)

Command lines........
To do one file  - C:\DIZED\DIZED
To do whole dir - C:\DIZED\DO-DIR          - This one doesn't scan 
                                             (Could be added easily)
Parameters...........
There is just one. This is if the file is on another drive.
eg dized d:    will look at d drive
   dized       will look at c drive
   dized e:    will look at e drive

Running...........
To start change to the dized dir and type one of the above examples.
Pressing escape once will list any zip files in that directory and if there 
are none will exit. Pressing excape twice will always exit. 

FILE DATES...........
When you have created a comment.txt file and a BBS*.* file you MUST change
the dates so they will not mess everything up. Once you have put them in
the dized dir type:-

REDATE! COMMENT.TXT 01-01-90
REDATE! BBSfile.??? 01-01-90
