AOLTIME.EXE 6/95 ===> Version 3.5 <=== NEW and IMPROVED, BETTER THAN EVER!!!!! Total Connect Time Utility for use with America Online* for Windows Description: Version 3.5 Major upgrade designed to work with all known versions of America Online* (including the latest AOLnet v2.5 Preview). Also in this release is a new feature to terminate AOLTIME automatically when AOL exits. This feature can be enabled/ disabled via a new menu item in the AOLTIME 'Options' menu. Also the accuracy of the 'Herberts' has been improved. A new Help file (AOLTIME.HLP) is also included in this release. Version 3.0 Minor upgrade designed to work with WAOL versions 1.1, 1.5, or 2.0. A new feature has been added. Just click the mouse on the "Total Connect Time" display in the WAOL menu bar and the AOLTIME utility will pop to the top. No more fumbling around on the Windows Desktop to get to the "Options" or "Help" menu items. Version 2.5 Maintenance release to work optimally with WAOL.EXE v1.5. Has all of the previous features of v2.0 plus some extras. Version 2.0 AOLTIME calculates and displays the 'Total Connect Time' or 'Total/Current' times (default) when using America Online for Windows. This program will display the total connect time used (while connected to the America Online service via modem) in the menu line of the WAOL.EXE program. The 'Current' (session) time is accurate to +/- 5 seconds. AOLTIME requires the user to reset the total connect time counter every now and then (every month for example, when you get your bill). It may even ask you for a path to the directory where WAOL.EXE is found. But after that, it's a snap. Just invoke this utility instead of the America Online application in the appropriate group you already have in the Program Manager, and when you start AOLTIME the America Online for Windows program will start automatically. ===> And best of all, AOLTIME is FREE!!! <=== Just copy the files AOLTIME.EXE and AOLTIME.HLP to the America Online directory (probably C:\WAOL25). Then copy AOLTIME.INI to your Windows directory. (NOTE: If you're UPGRADING from any previous version keep your current copy of AOLTIME.INI, it has your total time up to now.) If you like, change the Program Manager America Online entry to use AOLTIME.EXE instead of WAOL.EXE (optional). That's it. Start AOLTIME.EXE, and enjoy America Online just like before, but now with the "Total Connect Time' display. If you need any more help just select "Help" from the AOLTIME menu item (located in the AOLTIME menu bar, NOT the WAOL.EXE menu bar). The "Options" menu item is also located in the AOLTIME menu bar, NOT the WAOL.EXE menu. NOTE: AOLTIME normally runs as an icon on the Windows Desktop. To see the "Options" and "Help" menu items, just click on the "Total Connect Time" display in the WAOL menu bar. AOLTIME will open up to reveal its menu items. Once again, don't look for these items in the WAOL.EXE menu bar, they're in the AOLTIME menu.
