9.0 USING THE EXTERNAL UTILITIES Being "external", the extra programs supplied with BlueBook can be run by themselves, standalone. These programs are - BBView.Com AskUser.Exe BBTrim.Exe BBReset.Exe BBRestor.Exe BBIni.Exe BBSort.Exe (NOT IN FREEWARE VERSION) and BBPA.Exe, of course. (NOT IN FREEWARE VERSION) BBView is a general public domain file viewer intended for viewing text files (but one which will do its best to display ANY file you give it). Syntax is - BBView [drive:\path\]filename.ext ("[]" meaning "optional"). eg. BBView C:\BlueBook\ReadMe.1st AskUser.Exe is a pausing mechanism used by BBPull.Bat. But you can use it for any purpose you like: it is in the public domain. For Help, just run "AskUser ". For functional descriptions of the other utilities, see section 3.4. For syntax and usage, run the programs themselves, as follows - BBZip ? BBPull ? BBIni ? BBPA ? BBTrim BBReset BBRestor BBSort ie, with a parameter of "?" or no parameter as shown. In Windows, enter ? in the "Parameters" box or just OK it as appropriate. (You can't do this with BlueBook.Exe/BBMain.Exe of course. It just defaults to opening a BLUEBOOK database.) ---------------------------------------------------------- END OF DOCUMENT IF YOU LIKE THE QUALITY OF PROGRAMMING IN THIS PRODUCT AND YOU HAVE SOME WORK YOU WANT DONE, WHY NOT DROP US A LINE?
