I have over time found the BEST recipe to be 1 Tsp. of sugar for every cup
of water. On ocassion red food dye can be added for attraction, although I
have not used the dye for the last couple of years and see no difference.
This year it even seems that they prfer the soulution without the dye as
friends that use the dye were not getting the quantity of birds that I was.
