Take a package of cornbread (Jiffy mix or Mrs. White's or similar is fine) and your favorite brand of Salsa or Picante sauce (in whatever firehot or mild taste you prefer) and when following the directions on the box, REPLACE THE WATER WITH THE SALSA/PICANTE. Mix together and bake as normal. The Salsa Bread will be as moist as if water was added. Oh, if you are living in a higher altitude or a region where you need to add more water to your recipes... /? (excuse me while I still get used to VBBS...grin) Let's try this again: If you need to add more water to your cake and cornbread recipes normally, use a tad more salsa and a tablespoon of water. When the top is slightly crusty, brownish, and the sides have pulled away from the pan...it's done. Try it! From: Holly Body #8 @3140 1 Date: 05-01-94 -----
