MMMMM-----Meal-Master-------- Title: Easy White Sauce Coq A V Categories: Poultry Servings: 2 Servings 1 lb Chicken (Preferably boneless breast) 1 sm Can of sliced mushrooms 1 cn cream of mushroom soup 1/4 ts granulated garlic 1/4 ts salt 1/4 ts pepper 1/4 ts rosemary 1/4 ts thyme 1/2 c white wine (Chablis is best) 1/4 c BUTTER (margarine is an okay substitute, but it will be much better with real butter). Dice Chicken, sear lightly in hot ungreased skillet, sprinkle with herbs, garlic, slat and pepper. Add wine, and butter. Add Mushrooms, liquid should almost cause chicken to appear to be boiling, reduce heat to simmer, let simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally, if liquid has evaporated too much, add a little wine or water, (wine is best). Drain chicken, place back in skillet, add about one ounce of wine, and cream of mushroom soup mix well, let cook on low heat for another 1/2 hour stirring occasionally. If chicken is not tender enough to suit you, let cook another 1/2 hour, or until tender enough to your desires.. Serve over a bed of lightly buttered parsley egg noodles... Garlic bread also goes well with this dish. MMMMM
