  10    lb grease
  4     tb borax
  2     cn lye Bavet(?)
  2 1/4 qt water

     Pour water over lye, stir until disolved, then cool. Add Borax to lye
water. Pour warm grease into lye and stir a few minutes. Pur into mold. Cut
the soap before it is to hard and don't be alarmed if the soap and lard
separates. Pour into mold and let stand for 48 hours and then remove. You
will never cook soap after this receipe........
