AIRCRAFT: Curtiss P-36 Mohawk ARMAMENT: 2 x .50 Cal Machine Guns, 4 x .30 Cal Machine Guns HISTORY: The attack on Wheeler Field cought most of the P-40 and P-36 fighters of the 7th Fighter Command on the ground. Six pilots, however, managed to get their planes into the air. Overwhelmingly outnumbered, they scored the first American victories of the war, shooting down 12 enemy planes. MISSION: Fly air patrol over Wheeler Field. Land at any friendly air field to be rearmed and refueld.
