Readme file for ALIEN ATTACK SHAREWARE VER 1.0
Welcome to the first release of alien attack, a graphic shoot-em up game for
                        IBM COMPATIBLE computers.

In ALIEN ATTACK, your planet has been under attack for weeks from aliens, the
                  only area which survives is this valley.
 destroy as many alien ships as you can, before they destroy your remaining
                            cities. GOOD LUCK !

CONTROLS:

LEFT MISSILE LAUNCHER =  'A'-moves left / 'D'-moves right / 'S'-fires missile
 missiles destroy everything on contact-only 3 can be fired before reloading
     
     RIGHT GUN =  'J'-moves left / 'L'-moves right / 'K'-fires bullet
 bullets destroy enemy ships on various amounts of hits-enemy missiles on
              contact-only 6 can be fired before reloading

            PAUSE/BREAK key to pause the game-ENTER to continue

                      press the 'Q' to quit the game


REQUIREMENTS:
  386sx  25 MHz  or better
  VGA video card and monitor
  to have sound a SOUND BLASTER or ADLIB compatible sound card


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
to install alien attack, first copy all files to a directory of your choice.
        then run the setup.exe program to set up your sound card.

 NOTE: if your sound card is not listed in the setup program, try them all
                    until you find the one that works.
 the setup program will then ask you to enter the IRQ of your sound card,
  most times the IRQ of a sound card is either 5 or 7, but you may enter
 other IRQ's if need be.
  the setup program assumes that the address of your sound card is 220h
 (most are). if it is not 220h you can manually change the address setting
 in the 'alien.cfg' file by opening the file with any text editor program
 and deleting the address on the first line and typing the new address on
 first line, be certain to type in the address in decimal (not hexidecimal)

   When you order the FULL version of ALIEN ATTACK you get 3 additional 
    cities (for a total of 6 cities to protect), you get 2 additional 
      backrounds for a total of 3 backrounds (for a different looking
   game every time). You also get a high score chart to keep track of 
   your best games, and all shareware statements are removed. You also 
  will receive a childrens game "COLORMATCH" which teaches young children 
                   to identify colors and color names.
